The Head of Department is Doctor of Science (Economics), the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, Stanislav Germanovich Eremeev.

The department of Russian Politics was established in 2010.

Field of research:

• contemporary Russian politics;
• Russian political history;
• public issues in Russian politics;
• and the others.

The department is focused on cross-subject approach to Russian politics.
